(D) Questions
-Are you a full-time or part-time bookseller? How long have you been
selling books? How long have you been selling online?
|
-The IOBA New Member requirements state that you must have a minimum online inventory of 200 books, that at least 90% of books offered must be currently in stock, and that the range of pricing and the quality of your inventory should indicate your commitment to professionalism as a bookseller. There is some flexibility in these three standards. If you don't quite meet them, please explain why this business model works for you, or how you intend to meet the standards in the near future.
|
-Many in IOBA offer a member-to-member discount of 10% to 20%. If you wish to participate,
please state your discount terms (percentage of discount, reciprocal or not, special
conditions, if any). You may decide later if you wish.
|
-Please tell us about yourself. How did you learn the trade, what are your
strengths and weaknesses, how has your business model changed over the years,
what are your goals, what other bookselling organizations do you belong to,
and why did you choose IOBA? (minimum 200 words)
|
-How did you hear about IOBA?
|
|
Letters of recommendation from other booksellers are accepted but
not required. Please send them via email to
membershipinfo@ioba.org.
