Bookbuyers' Bill of Rights
Printable version (rtf format)
Sometimes the Internet can feel like a savage jungle, but you deserve a civilized experience when buying books online. Members of the Independent Online Booksellers Association (“IOBA”) subscribe to a code of ethics that requires all of the following:
Accurate Descriptions - You deserve complete, accurate descriptions that include publisher, edition and condition. IOBA Sellers carefully note any and all flaws.
Reasonable Returns - While anyone can make a mistake it should be correctable. IOBA Dealers have a clearly-stated returns policy and always refund for misdescribed items.
Delivery of Product - When you order online, you should receive your book or have your payment refunded. IOBA Sellers adhere to this policy.
A Pleasant Buying Experience - You deserve courteous communications, timely responses and professional service. IOBA members respect you, their customer, and take pride in their service.
