Announcement of 2017 Board of Directors Election

Since none of the officer and member-at-large (MAL) positions was contested, the nominees are considered duly elected and will commence office on February 1, 2017.

The Nominating Committee would like to thank outgoing Vice-President Heidi Congalton of Between the Covers and outgoing Treasurer Sharon Eisenberg of CE Ranch Books for their service to our organization.

Thanks are also due to Joan White of White Unicorn Books for her year as President and for agreeing to continue serving IOBA as a MAL.

Here are the IOBA members who have offered to serve as Officers (for a one-year term) and as MALs (for a three-year term):

President: Christine Volk of bookfever.com
Vice-President: Stephen Michael Clauser of Arroyo Seco Books
Secretary: Doug Nelson of Nelson Rare Books
Treasurer: Vacant
MAL: Betty Kilner of Ainsworth Books
MAL: Joan White of White Unicorn Books

The Nominating Committee was unable to secure a candidate to serve as Treasurer to replace outgoing Treasurer Sharon Eisenberg of CE Ranch Books. A copy of a document that Sharon has prepared outlining the duties of the Treasurer is available for anyone interested. Contact nominations@ioba.org.

Thanks to everyone who has committed their time to serve on the IOBA Board of Directors for 2017. We couldn’t do this without the generosity of our members.
