One Reason I Started Selling Books Online
Is there anybody you would like to thank for their service to our country today? I am grateful for the military service of my father, brother, big sister, brother-in-law and future brother-in-law. I am also grateful to my mother for putting up with all of us kids during our seemingly endless series of moves and relocations. One of the reasons I got started in the book business was because my mother had me sell some of my dad's old books that he kept hauling around to each new house. I think I may have inherited his book hoarder gene:)
Here is my favorite print, an original WWI poster created by Charles Buckles, urging Americans to donate books to their local libraries for the troops. I picked this one up at an auction in Pittsburg, KS many years ago and had it framed for my living room. It's a bit chipped and worn, but no worse for the wear.
