Zoe is at the county fair.  She has a horse to show in competition and she's working as staff on the ambulance as well.  With a bossy friend, her old 4-H teacher and an old crush from the past, life is little complicated.  It gets more complicated when a murder shows up...

Henery Press and Edelweiss let me read this book for review (thank you).  It will be published April 14th.

They have a missing woman at the fair.  Her husband can't locate her and she's not answering her phone.  Pete, Zoe's boyfriend, is trying to trace her movements and locate her.  When he does, she's dead.  It looks like it was an accident except her head was hit and falling down in bushes at the roadside won't do that.  Was it murder?

Then a body is found in one of the demolition buses.  It's the famous judge they brought in for the fair and he won't be judging anything anymore. He had several enemies and it's hard to find who would have had access to him and would know him locally.  He was from here but it was years ago.  He still had an enemy, though.

As Zoe and Pete work on the case, they get closer to the truth all the time.  The problem is that while this is going on, Zoe is trying to unite a father and son who have just found each other. His mother doesn't want him to have anything to do with his father.  Zoe soon finds out why.

This is an interesting tale with lots of drama thrown in.  The ending is special.  Pete has a surprise for Zoe.
