    Funny the way things happen. Miraculous, almost…

    This winter, after I’d finished removing all the books from the premises of Howland and Company, there was nothing left but – book shelves.

    Two truckloads of book shelves to be precise. Which, for reasons I did not understand at the time, but which proved to be perfectly obvious upon further reflection (book sellers can’t resist book shelves), I took them all home with me.
