The Brighton Boys with Engineers at Cantigny

Philadelphia, John Winston Company, 1919, first edition. Scarce. 8vo, 256pp, lightly soiled spine cover. Spine ends are lightly bumped. A nice copy. Very good wi th missing d.j.

This is a series written for boys from around the time of World War I into the 1920s, fraught with adventure and discovery in all sorts of different locations; submarines, flying corps, WWI Trenches, the radio service, etc. Not blood and guts graphic stories, but historical and interesting reading even now by boys and girls to get a picture of what life was like for youngsters of that era and to read about how, at that time, patriotism, honesty and honor were considered the norm.
