After an intensive, collaborative evaluation process, the IOBA Interview Committee is pleased to report that we have selected D. Gail Nickel-Kailing as the Administrative and Marketing Facilitator for our organization. Ms. Nickel-Kailing, recently relocated from Seattle to Helena Montana, is a business consultant who has many years of public relations, marketing, web design and maintenance, and administrative experience with a variety of public and private agencies and businesses.
The Interview Committee consisted of Joan White, Heidi Congalton, Chris Volk, Andrew Langer, DeWayne White and Rachel Jagareski, with assistance from Doug Nelson and Sharon Eisenberg later in the process to review the proposed hiring agreement. The Committee received applications from six strong candidates located in New York, Maine, Missouri, New Zealand, and Washington State. We sent out detailed followup questionnaires to the final group of candidates with the strongest technical and marketing skills. We followed up with further phone interviews and checked their professional and personal references.
After much deliberation between two very strong candidates, the Interview Committee unanimously agreed to choose Ms. Nickel-Kailing for the present position. Andrew Langer, as Internet Chair, and Joan White, as President, will be most closely working with Ms. Nickel-Kailing.
We were delighted to have had the opportunity to consider so many excellent applicants for this position. We look forward to working with Ms. Nickel-Kailing to help our volunteer members bring some longstanding projects to completion, enhance existing operations, and work on creating new member benefits. This is an exciting time for IOBA.
