YAPPED or YAPP EDIGES

Also called Cover Extensions. Binding featuring a cover that overlaps the three edges of both upper and lower covers continuously. The covers are always limp or semi-flexible, and are sometimes fitted with a zipper. Frequently found on bibles.

Items bound in this manner are usually best stored flat. The edges, especially the bottom edge, will frequently be worn.
