Brothers Benjamin and Edward started their company in 1865. While  other family members would become involved and help create the  successful business, Edward left the company in 1877. Benjamin was the  first photographer and he continued to take stereographic views over the  course of the business. His first photos were of the White Mountains  and he chronicled the building of the Cog Railroad and took many images  of the Cog railroad and the stage coaches that climbed the tallest  mountain in the northeast. The Kilburn’s, long time residents of  Littleton, will be available during the bookfair for photos, and  conversation, and Mr. Kilburn will make a presentation about Kilburn  Brothers stereoscopic views.
