Welcome to the Book Collector. We are lifetime members of the IOBA, member of Texas Booksellers' Association as well as the ABAA. We have been in business since 1995 as an online retailer and participate in books show both in person and virtual. We are always willing to assist customers in building their collection and working to assist in their interests.

We started the business in 1995 shortly after the internet was born with a personal collection of 3000 books which were assembled over a period of twenty years. We specialize in our interests. As a student at the University of Texas in Latin American Studies with majors in History and Anthropology and later in graduate school at TCU we have focused in this area. While a student at UT, I was a member of the University chess team and had collected about 250 books in this field. Although no longer active, I still follow the current events in chess and a member the of KWA (Ken Whyld Association) an international organization of chess enthusiast who study chess history and collect in all areas of the subject. The area of literature reflects my personal taste and can be quite eclectic.

All items are guaranteed as described. If an item is not as described, it is returnable within seven days of receipt, unless other arrangements are made. Full refunds given only when items are received in the same condition in which they were sent. We require new customers to send payment with their order. Customers known to us will be invoiced with payment due in thirty days, unless prior arrangements are made. Institutions will be billed to meet their requirements. All items subject to prior sale. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express Please be advised that we can only ship to your billing address. We accept checks, but may require that the check clears before we ship an order. Prices of books do not include shipping. We use UPS domestically and internationally. Other shipping arrangements can be made. Shipping is always charged at cost. Texas residents must add 8.25% sales tax.
