SADDLE STAPLED / SADDLE STITCH STAPLED < Back to Terminology List SADDLE STAPLED / SADDLE STITCH STAPLED Feature A method of binding booklets , magazines, or pamphlets by folding wraps and leaves into a single gathering and stapling through the fold of the gather. The wire staples pass through all leaves and are clinched in the gutter of the central leaf. Staples that have slightly oxidized and are no longer bright as new, are said to have acquired a patina. Saddle stapling can be impermanent, as repeated handling can pull the staples through the wraps and unplated staples can rust. See Staples, Rusted . The first image shows two staples through the spine of a small booklet. The second image shows the staples clinched in the gutter of the central leaf. Previous Next

Credit card, check, PayPal, Venmo accepted. info@anagogebooks.com P.O. Box 73162, Bellevue, Kentucky, 41073, United States More about this bookseller Hello fellow IOBA members! I have been consecutively in the book trade since 2014, and independently since 2020. Originally from San Francisco, I worked at Adobe Books in the Mission district for several years, and began scouting books and selling online through the shop, under the mentorship of shop founder Andrew McKinley. I moved to Cincinnati in 2019, and decided to forge my own path as a solo bookseller. Largely self-taught, I have a dedicated interest in various collecting niches, overlooked literature, book scouting, book preservation, curation, and honest salesmanship. I am always looking to strengthen my knowledge and offerings as a bookseller and am happy to contribute to a community of devout bibliophiles. Anagoge Books is a used and rare bookshop with a concentration in the overlap between Christianity, literature and the humanities. We offer a generous selection of Catholic liturgy, theology and spirituality, and Christian mystical, esoteric, and philosophical books. Our other interests include modern first editions & literary ephemera, poetry, book arts, Kentucky and Southern Americana. Our offices are based in Bellevue, Kentucky, across the river from Cincinnati, Ohio. 1/1 1/1 1/1 1/1 Featured Items Terms of Sale All books are offered subject to prior sale, and must be paid for in full unless credit has been established. Credit card, PayPal, check, money order and Venmo are acceptable methods of payment. All books are sold as described and depicted, with as much care as possible. If for any reason you would like to return a book, returns must be initiated within 10 days of receipt and returned in the original condition as mailed.

"Lest we forget... the very first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom - Lucifer." - page ix. "The revolutionary force today has two targets, moral as well as material. Its young protagonists are one moment reminiscent of the idealistic early Christians, yet they also urge violence and cry, 'Burn the system down!' They have no illusions about the system, but plenty of illusions about the way to change the world. It is to this point that I have written this book." - page xiii. xxvi, 196 pages. Several pencil markings have been erased, otherwise contents clean, bright and unmarked. Binding tight. Light wear to publisher's black cloth brilliantly lettered in gilt upon backstrip.
